This project will improve the transport infrastructure between the two countries by enhancing the connectivity of the Northern Corridor, of which these roads form a part of. It will ease the snarl ups at the border posts of Busia and Malaba and improve the road safety, for the road users as well as for the population living in the vicinity of the infrastructure.
