As part of the launch of the second phase of the "FICOL II" local government financing project in Tunisia, which will benefit 177 municipalities in 22 governorates, the GOPA Infra office, in partnership with the CPSCL (Caisse des prêts et de soutien au collectivités locales), has started to organise two national seminars and four regional workshops in the cities of Tunis/Sousse/Sfax/Tabarka to present the FICOL II financing programme (financing of municipal investments in expansion areas "36 million euros") and the accompanying measures in favour of these municipalities "3 million euros".

More than 550 people have attended and will continue to attend these events, including senior regional and municipal officials, public and private operators, CPSCL and KFW as donors, and representatives of the technical assistance office GOPA Infra.

As a reminder, the aim of the project is to improve access to basic municipal infrastructure in the extension zones of the enlarged municipalities in order to strengthen the municipalities' capacity to provide quality municipal infrastructure and improve access to services in the extension zones.
